House-Calls

House-calls are available within the local area (from Latchford to Kirkland Lake), and require an additional fee to account for travel and convenience. Please inquire about this service when calling or e-mailing.

Puppy's Breath packs up the s'paw and makes house-calls to area residents who appreciate the convenience of having their pet groomed within their own home and where they can monitor the process.  From quick services (nail trims) to full bathing and grooming reservations, it can all be done in your home without having to bring your pet in your car to our home s'paw.

All that is required for bath/groom appointments is appropriate space for the grooming (this IS a hairy business), a regular grounded electrical outlet, and a place to bathe your pet (sink, laundry tub, bathtub).

The adult who is responsible for the pet being groomed during a house-call MUST be present in the building during the entire grooming process.

Most pets are groomed start to finish with minimal interruptions.  The greatest care and respect is given to all pets.  No pet is ever left unattended during the grooming process.  Only safe and gentle handling techniques are used by our stylist.

We proudly use Kelco brand shampoos for all bathing services as we find it important to only use biodegradable, eco-friendly products on and around our clients.  Puppy's Breath does NOT use homemade or grocery brand shampoo or ear cleaner.  We also do NOT use clipper coolant, which contains carcinogens, but instead maintain a diligent cleaning/maintenance schedule for all equipment used in the s'paw.

At this time, pets with fleas (or suspected to have fleas) will ONLY be groomed by house-call appointment to keep parasites out of our home s'paw.

 If your pet is suspected to be infested with fleas or ticks, please contact your veterinarian to clear up the issue before making a grooming appointment.
